The magic of moss

Four happy feet; twenty twinkling toes

Step curiously into a new world: undulating tracks of fairy magic

Mossy greens and microgreens of one thousand shades and shapes

Lettuce leaves drip over fresh water forest algae as sprouts wiggle to greet us hello!

They also twinkle. And bat their eyelashes

Dark greens in the shadows

And golden around the corners

As the light bends in

To guide us forwards

Down the next fairy land lane.

Throughout the bright icy blue river flows on our right, while on our left countless waterfalls gush and rush towards it

Some faster than others

Gushing, playing, cruising,

Running, skipping, jumping

Pausing at a pool – wow that’s a nice pool!

Each with its own personality waving us on our way.

As we tight-rope-walk over invisible bridges hanging from the sky

We are moving deeper and deeper into the bowels of the mountain valley

Moody mist, clouds and sprinkles of rain whisper to us as we climb – “welcome home!

We placed this tree here for you, do you like it?”

“It’s perfect.”

The last light of the day, that started somewhere else – with rainbow dolphins playing at the foot of snow capped giants, places its hands on our backs.

“Almost there, I’ll help you a little.”

And we are delivered to our home with ease.

Clouds float thickly below the full moon

Pulling silky steam tendrils off of the hot springs below

A gap in the clouds allows beams of moonlight to slip through

And a sense of her majesty invites silent awe

As we kiss the sky good night and take refuge between two pieces of fabric suspended in space

Inside the music of two giggling girls makes the universal heart sing

Warm, full, open, nourished

Happy heart, empty mind, embodied soul

Thank you mountain, river, universe & Jaz!
