The sun loves to shine on this coast all year round. When the sun is hottest, the sky offers a balm of heavy rain. At more temperate times the sun shines sweetly on our faces, through soft breezes that lightly lick the incoming waves clean. Dolphins crest the bluest blue between us as we float through the evaporation of time on water. Time in water that, given freely, allows salt to both corrode and shape us – children of her own. A sudden splash of white over ripples of where a whale has been, appears as effortlessly as the bubbling up of a child’s laughter. Both are brief moments of pure joy that make our hearts glow in our chests, flickering like tangerine embers in a morning fire. It is these heart moments that grow the home within.
